Our Story How Zerene was Born

Zerene Founder, Arash Sabet, was diagnosed with Sleep Bruxism (clenching or grinding teeth during sleep) but couldn’t accept the annoying and inefficient “treatment” for it (night guards).

So he got to work to create a better solution for himself and others.

His goal was for users to be free from the need to wear a night guard every night for the rest of their lives, and to provide vital sleep metrics to help empower people to understand their sleep and to use data to improve it.

After a careful process of research, developing customized and innovative technology, and refining his idea in alpha and beta testing with users, Zerene was born!

It’s a wearable device that trains users to stop clenching/grinding teeth through vibration feedback.

The device connects to an app that collects data & analyzes users’ behaviors to make effective training plans and recommendations. You’ll be amazed to see how teeth grinding and clenching is represented through data — it is an impactful way to understand something you might never otherwise be able to address – because it happens while you sleep!

Initial testing has shown that the training can be effective to reduce teeth clenching and grinding, and that the benefits may remain for weeks. Treatment plans will improve with more data and training. As a result, users might need to wear their Zerene a handful of times per year rather than nightly.

The device is also equipped to measure fine details of users’ sleep habits including snore detection, temperature, sleep orientation, respiratory trends and more.
